Two members of the 2014-15 Milford High School boys basketball team, Ryan Gallimore and Will Hannah, have announced they will continue their playing careers next season on the collegiate level.
Gallimore will attend and play for Wittenberg University, while Hannah has committed to Capital University.
Both seniors were instrumental in the most successful season in school history last winter.
A first team All-Eastern Cincinnati Conference selection this year, Gallimore, a 6’1” point guard, was the Eagles’ floor general, ranking fourth on the squad in scoring at 7.7 points per game, while also leading the team in assists (60) and three pointers (40).
A senior, Gallimore saved his best performance of the year for his final home game when he scored a career-high 28 points, including six three-pointers made against Turpin.
He was a second team All-ECC choice as a junior.
At Wittenberg, Gallimore will play for long-time Tiger head coach Bill Brown, who has won over 450 games since taking over the program in 1993. Last season, Wittenberg finished with a record of 10-16.
Hannah had a senior season to remember, earning his second consecutive All-ECC first team award, as well as being tabbed honorable mention All-Southwest District.
The Eagles tallest player at 6’5”, Hannah, a small forward, was amongst the league’s top scorers all season, finishing at 14.3 points per game.
During back-to-back wins at Colerain and Kings, Hannah scored 30 and 25 points respectively, with the former a career-high.
Hannah added five rebounds per game and was one of the top free throw shooters in the ECC at nearly 85 percent.
At Capital, Hannah will be a part of a program led by veteran head coach Damon Goodwin, the Crusaders’ leader since 1994. Goodwin has won over 340 games in his career and led Capital to an 8-18 mark a year ago.
Milford ended the season with a school record 22 wins, earning a share of the Eastern Cincinnati Conference Championship and advancing to the OHSAA District Finals before losing to eventual state champion Wayne.
