Inter Parish Ministry, a choice food and clothing pantry dedicated to serving eastern Hamilton County and Clermont County, will host its Circle of Hope Sunday Supper Celebration on Sunday, April 26 at the Oasis Conference Center in Loveland.

The event will feature silent and live auctions, wine pairings, appetizers from local restaurants, and Master of Ceremonies Thom Brennaman. Circle of Hope recipients Sue Porter, Jennifer Shackelford, and Marcy Franco as well as Owlett “One of a Kind” Award recipient Chuck Lynch will be recognized for their volunteer efforts.

All proceeds from the celebration will help Inter Parish Ministry fund not only the food and clothing pantry, but also the non-profit organization’s outreach events including mobile food pantries, emergency assistance programs, and holiday assistance programs.

Located in Newtown, Inter Parish Ministry relies on the support of volunteers and donors to help those in need. This year’s Circle of Hope Sunday Supper Celebration will commend those who have contributed time, money, and pantry donations to IPM.

Carol Rountree, volunteer coordinator at Inter Parish Ministry, appreciates the dedicated crew of volunteers who help operate the pantry and organize various events, including the Circle of Hope Sunday Supper Celebration.

“Without volunteers we couldn’t run the pantry,” Rountree said. “Their passion for the mission and their desire to help those in need makes them special.”

Inter Parish Ministry receives support from many sources around the community. Milford High School Intervention Specialist Leah Sears assigns her staff and students in the MHS special education program to volunteer with Inter Parish Ministry during mobile food pantries and holiday outreaches.

“My kids get a lot of things handed to them and a lot of people give them help, so this is a good way for us to give back,” Sears said.

Sears and her students started volunteering with Inter Parish Ministry in 2013. She credits volunteering with IPM as a way for her students to build necessary skills for future employment such as communication, organization, focus, and the ability to follow extensive directions.

“They get so many job skills and that’s hard to replicate in a classroom,” Sears said. “[Inter Parish Ministry] is not only helping people get food, it’s also helping my students get ready for work.”

As a non-profit organization, Inter Parish Ministry depends on food, clothing, and monetary donations to help more clients in need. The Dan Varner Band, a popular Cincinnati-based country music group, has donated to Inter Parish Ministry for three years. Each year in December, the Dan Varner Band hosts a benefit concert to raise funds for IPM.

“I chose Inter Parish Ministry because being a regional musician I wanted to do something to give back to the community,” lead singer Dan Varner said. “Instead of always volunteering my time on a national level, I wanted to do something to help people in our own backyard.”

This year’s Circle of Hope Sunday Supper Celebration will feature a Dan Varner acoustic experience at the winner’s location as one of the live auction items. Last year’s acoustic experience was very successful during the auction.

“It was a fun event and fun to be a part of it,” Varner said.

Due to popularity, Varner decided to donate another concert experience to the 2015 event.

The Dan Varner acoustic experience is just one of many exciting auction items available at the Circle of Hope Sunday Supper Celebration. Other items include a hot air balloon ride, a Keeneland experience, and a WLW booth experience with Thom Brennaman. Inter Parish Ministry hopes to raise funds for the choice pantry and related community support programs while honoring those who make these good works possible.
