Lily Hathcock of Bethel presents a red carnation to Bethel-Tate Board of Education member Buffy Clements at the meeting on April 29. The carnation represents Hathcock’s request of the board to put a levy on the ballot that would supplement funding for the school district, which will be cutting $1 million in fiscal year 2016 to keep the district from being placed in fiscal caution by the Ohio Department of Education.
