The annual Ulysses S. Grant birthday celebration will be held on April 25 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Grant’s birthplace.

The event will include reenactors, music, Civil War artillery demonstrations and food at the Grant Memorial Methodist Church.

Lisa Corum Fox, the featured speaker who has researched abolitionists and Grant’s family’s part in the underground railroad, will speak at 1 p.m.

The event will take place at 1551 state Route 232 in Point Pleasant.
