Celebrating the spirit of the wonderful community which we serve, Grant Career Center invites the public to the newly expanded Community Appreciation Day on Saturday, April 18, 2015. The day will kick off at noon with raising of the colors and a ribbon cutting ceremony! Following opening ceremonies, there will be student demonstrations, exhibits, and free fun and games for all ages! Students are creating great activities that will showcase their skills and talents. Plan on visiting the new Animal Science Facility for a petting zoo, pony rides and an animal adoption event!

A Cruise-In, sponsored by the Auto Collision and Automotive Service Technology departments, will take place from 2-4 PM in the front lot featuring a wide assortment of classic cars. Walk around, enjoy the atmosphere and cheer for your favorite car!

The Community Dinner, sponsored by the Culinary Careers Department, will be held from 4 to 7 PM in the Career Center cafeteria. Staff and students will work together to prepare a Ham and Chicken Buffet that includes vegetables, numerous salads, dinner rolls, homemade desserts, and beverages. Cost is just $5 and tickets can be purchased at the door.

The Greenhouse will also be open from 12-7 PM for your spring gardening needs. Check out all the new varieties that the Horticulture students have planted this year and plan your spring garden. There will be great activities for all ages as we celebrate our wonderful community support!
