Outgoing Goshen senior Cody Schock may not have chosen where he wants to play his college basketball yet, but he will have a couple more times to lace up his sneakers donning a Warriors uniform as the 6-foot-7 forward was selected to play in both the Cincinnati East vs. West game and the Ohio North-South All-Star game.

Schock will play first in the East vs. West game on Friday, April 10 at St. Bernard High School with tip-off slated for 8:30 p.m.

The Ohio North-South All-Star Game is the following week, Sunday, April 19, at Capital University in Columbus. Schock will play in the Division I and II game at 5:30 p.m.

The all-star game selections are the icing on top of an illustrious high school career for Schock. Aside from being a four-year varsity letterman at Goshen, Schock was named a Southern Buckeye Conference First Team All-Star each of the past two years. He was also the Most Valuable Player and the Offensive Player of the Year for the Warriors this past season.

Schock averaged 12.1 points, 7.9 rebounds and 4.7 blocks per game his senior year. The nearly five blocks per game ranked him first in Southwest Ohio in the category.

Outside of scholastic hoops, Schock plays AAU ball for the King James Runnin’ Rebels coached by Dwaine Cumberland and Sean Cook.

He plans to attend college, play basketball and study business management and marketing although he is still in the process of making his decision. His family said the decision will be made in the next few weeks.

Tickets for the North-South All-Star game are $8.00 and will grant admittance to both the boys and girls games. The Division III and IV boys game will precede Schock in the DI and II game.
