Several communities have Easter egg hunts planned leading up to the holiday.

The village of Amelia: The village will have their annual Easter Egg Hunt from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. March 28 at Spencer Shank Park in the village.

The event includes an egg hunt as well as other activities for children.

The village will also host an egg-stuffing party March 21 at the administration building to prepare for the egg hunt. Contact Councilwoman Katie Krafka at kkrafka@ameliavillage.com, with questions.

Batavia Township: The Rotary Club will host their annual egg hunt at the township community center at 10 a.m. March 28. The club with the help of Boy Scouts will hide more than 4,000 eggs for the hunt, according to Batavia Township Administrator Rex Parsons. There will be four age groups for the hunt as well as at least four prizes for each age group.

“Of course the Easter Bunny will be in attendance,” Parsons said. “So make sure you bring your cameras for a picture with the Easter Bunny.”

There will also be hot chocolate and donuts for guests to enjoy, Parsons said.

City of Milford: The annual Easter Eggstravaganza in Milford will be held from 10-11:30 a.m. March 28 at Riverside Park.

The Easter Bunny will be arriving to the hunt on the Milford Community Fire Department’s antique fire truck. There will also be face painting, refreshments and other activities at the egg hunt.

There will be separate age groups for the egg hunt.

The rainout date for the egg hunt is April 4.

Miami Township: The township Easter Extravaganza will be held from 10 a.m. until noon March 28 at the township administration building.

Pierce Township: The Easter Egg Hunt will be held from 10 a.m. until noon March 28 at Pierce Township Park.

Registration for the event begins at 10 a.m. and the egg hunt will begin at 11 a.m. The Easter Bunny will be at the park from 10:30 a.m.
