Mayor Todd Hart announce at the Jan. 27, council meeting that Mr. Clayton Fite was named Citizen of the Year for Amelia Village for 2014.
Mayor Hart read the proclamation stating this award is bestowed upon someone who has given abundantly of his time to community causes, continuously participated in community projects and has conducted his life in such a way to foster a sense of Community Pride.
Mr. Fite has been instrumental in providing his expertise and talent bringing electric to Shank Park and the countless hours at Odd Fellows Cemetery to honor all Veterans and Citizens buried in the cemetery. He also serves on the Amelia Village Finance Committee and the Board of Zoning Appeals.
