Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington (RULH) High School announces that it is hosting four fundraising events in December and January to benefit critically injured RULH student Kilee Brookbank.

On November 10, 2014, an explosion at Kilee’s Georgetown, Ohio home injured her critically. Currently, Kilee is a patient in the Intensive Care Unit at Shriners Hospitals for Children in Cincinnati. Although she is stable, she faces a long road to recovery.

Details on the fundraisers RUHL High School is hosting to help Kilee and her family follow below:

– 6 p.m. on Thursday, December 4 – “Baskets for Brookbank” foundation girls’ varsity basketball game held at RULH High School, located at 1317 South Second St., Ripley, OH 45167. Event features a silent raffle, bake sale and Kisses for Kilee, a candy kiss sale. Visitors can order Baskets for Kilee T-shirts. A limited quantity will be available for purchase on site.

· Doors open at 6 p.m. on Friday, January 2 – Cal Scruby Benefit Concert at RULH High School, located at 1317 South Second St., Ripley, OH 45167. Cal is a hip hop artist and lyricist and a product of Cincinnati. He has signed with multi-award winning entertainment company, Riveting Entertainment. Tickets are $15. Cal plans to “Facetime” with Kilee during the concert using RULH technology.

· 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, January 4 – “Friends of Kilee” quarter raffle benefit at Ripley Life Squad, located at 799 South Second St., Ripley, Ohio 45167. Donated gift and novelty item auction. Auction paddles available for $1 each. Bidders will have a chance to WIN products from some of their favorite home party consultants as well as donated gift cards, Cincinnati Reds Tickets and many more desirable items.

· 1-5 p.m. on Saturday, January 17 – “Bowling for Brookbank” benefit at Community Lanes in Georgetown, located at 702 Mt. Orab Pike, Georgetown 45121. $15.00 for bowling and shoes, $5 entrance for non-bowlers. A DJ will provide entertainment and there will be an auction of select merchandise.

Proceeds from all events will go to Shriners Hospitals for Children in Cincinnati under Kilee’s name, as requested by Kilee’s family.

People who can’t attend the fundraising events but still want to help can donate to a bank account set up at Ripley Federal Savings Bank under the name “Friends of Kilee Brookbank.” Make donations at the Ripley location (1006 S. Kilee and her family are patients of Mercy Health – Georgetown Family Medicine, which has agreed to match up to $10,000 in donations.
