Trustees in Batavia Township honored members of the Clermont County Board of Developmental Disabilities (CCDD) lawn crew at their November 3 meeting. Lawn crew members received recognition medals as well as gift cards to their favorite restaurant, Hibachi Grill.

Batavia Township contracts with the CCDD Lawn Crew each year, to mow the township cemeteries May through October. Throughout the fall, the crew handles leaf removal. The trustees honored the Lawn Crew to celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month and to thank the crew members for a job well done.

Also during the meeting, the Trustees recognized the accomplishments of Superintendent Sharon Woodrow on her 21 years of service to the CCDD agency. Woodrow will retire on December 31, 2014 and received a plaque on behalf of all three trustees.

The lawn crew will continue with leaf removal until the weather turns cold. For more information on the CCDD Lawn Crew and other mobile work crews, contact (513) 732-4921 or ldavis@clermontdd.org.
