Harmon Neal, of Hamersville, passed away at his farm Nov. 3.

Neal served eight years as Brown County Commissioner. He was also a Clark Township Trustee, a member of the Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church, a 4-H advisor, a member of the Hamersville Fire Department and a founding member of the Hamersville Life Squad. He spent his life farming and enjoying outdoor activities. He loved his garden and sharing the bounty with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents William and Anna Reeves Neal, sister Ruth Neal Liming and a great-granddaughter Taylor Rae Neal.

He is survived by his wife Velva of 67 years and his sons Bill (Chris) Neal, Bob (Julie) Neal, and Barney (Lisa) Neal, grandchildren Brian Neal, Katy Neal Wilfert, Brent Neal, Amber Neal Wallace, Robby Neal, Greg Neal, Steven Neal and their families and 10 great-grandchildren.
