The 2013-14 Felicity Franklin FFA members who took part in creating, planning, and executing the activities which helped the chapter to be awarded a national Model of Excellence and a Model of Innovation Chapter.
In August, the Felicity- Franklin FFA chapter was named a Model of Excellence Chapter, which distinguishes the top ten chapters among the 7,520 in the nation.

The chapter received a 3- Star rating; the highest awarded, and will compete for top honors at the National FFA Convention in October in Louisville, Ky.

In order to qualify for this award the chapter must complete at least 15 activities, one for each of the five quality standards in each of the three divisions. Some of the many Felicity FFA chapter activities included, the “U R More” girls night, Ag Olympics, Fall Feast, and Down on the Farm Day.

Felicity FFA was also named a Model of Innovation Chapter in the area of Student Development for their outstanding efforts in holding the first annual “U R More” girl’s night. They will also compete for top honors in this division against the other nine finalist chapters in the nation.

The National Chapter Award program recognizes FFA chapters that successfully complete an annual Program of Activities which includes a series of activities designed to encourage its members to grow as individuals, to work as part of a team, and to serve others. These honors are the highest Felicity Franklin FFA has ever received in this competition.
