The Tri-State Business Technology Summit 2014 will be held at the Holiday Inn & Suites Cincinnati Eastgate on Wednesday, Oct. 29, featuring keynote addresses from three industry professionals as well as two break-out sessions and 25 related business technology exhibitors.

This is the second year for this regional event.

“When NSBA (National Small Business Association) surveyed businesses in 2013, 70 percent of the respondents indicated that keeping up with new technology was very important to the success of their company. Couple that response with the reality that the Midwest tends to lag behind much of the country when it comes to adopting new technology and it became clear that we need to do everything we can to better inform our regional businesses and to motivate our regional businesses to stay aggressive in seeking competitive advantages. Customers are more savvy today in how they access products and services. Regional businesses can hone their business strategy based on the information and ideas that will be provided at the Business Technology Summit,” said John Melvin, director of the Small Business Development Center for the Clermont County Chamber of Commerce.

Keynote speakers at the event will include:

Dave Knox, Chief Marketing Officer for Rockfish, one of the fastest growing digital agencies in the country, and a co-founder of the The Brandery – one of the top 10 startup accelerators in the U.S., recognized by Ad Age as “1 of 25 Media People You Should Follow on Twitter,” David’s presentation will be about embracing change in order to build a foundation for long-term growth, “Growth Through Innovation.”

Christi Cornette is Senior Vice President of Corporate Marketing for Cincinnati Bell. She most recently held the position of Vice President of Marketing at CBTS. She is responsible for Product Marketing, Partner Management, Branding, and Business Product Management. Christi will address cyber security which was a major concern for the overwhelming majority of those surveyed by NSBA.

Geoff Smith, LP Enterprises, Technical Advisor for the Cincinnati Bengals. After a 25-year career with Procter & Gamble, Geoff retired and founded LP Enterprises, LLC – an IT strategy consultancy serving a wide variety of clients – Fortune 500 companies, the sports industry, and non-profits. At P&G, Geoff progressed through a variety of IT, business, and leadership responsibilities ending as a member of the Company’s IT Executive team, responsible for Global IT Strategy, Enterprise Architecture, and Advanced Technology evaluation. In “The Road to Moneyball in the NFL,” Geoff will address how business analytics is critical to the Bengals in their business operations and in their player personnel and coaching decisions.

The summit will be held from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Oct. 29 with early bird pricing through Aug. 31 for $99.  To register visit: http://ohbiztechsummit.com/
