A weekend full of good music, fun activities, fireworks, and camaraderie is coming to the banks of the Ohio River.

The bicentennial Riverdays festival will be held Aug. 15-17 in the village of New Richmond.

Gary Skeene, member of the Riverfest Committee, said the festival is expected to be a little bigger this year as it is the village’s bicentennial.

“I am hoping for good weather and big crowds,” Skeene said.

Skeene said they have added vendors and local shops to the festival this year, even extending the festival further down the street to include more business owners.

The festival will include rides, games, historical tours, a parade for veterans, a car show, an antique tractor show, and a variety of musical performances this year.

“We have some fantastic music on both stages,” Skeene said. “Good acts that have never been there before.”

Skeene said they will have a variety of food vendors, dinner cruises on Friday and Saturday nights, and guests can expect a fireworks show Saturday night.
