Staff report

More traffic changes are going into effect in Eastgate, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.

Beginning July 28, the exit ramp from east State Route 32 to Eastgate Boulevard will be closed and the new ramp, which traverses on top of the tunnel and is located west of Eastgate Boulevard will open in its place.

In addition, access to eastbound SR from Eastgate Boulevard will be closed for 120 days for construction of a new ramp. Traffic will be detoured to North Access Road to Glen Este Withamsville Road. The ramp is scheduled to open to traffic before Thanksgiving.

Arrow boards and signs will be placed to notify drivers of the changes, according to ODOT.

Officials ask drivers to remain alert, reduce speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zones.
