Margaret Pearl Case, 96, of Georgetown, died July 13.

Case was a homemaker and worked at P. Sullivan Shoe Company in Georgetown, and along with her husband, Marvin, they owned and operated the Georgetown Print and Wallpaper for 30 years. She was a member of Georgetown Church of Christ, the Carey Bavis American Legion Post 180 Auxiliary and the Brown County Historical Society. She also volunteered at Brown County General Hospital gift shop.

In 2011 Margaret and Marvin were recognized as the longest married couple in Ohio, and received the award for longest married couple from the Brown County Fair Board for numerous years.

Case was born July 6, 1918 in Higginsport, Ohio.

She is survived by her husband Marvin of 77 years, children Sharon (Dan) Taylor and Marvin Jeffrey Case, grandchildren Marcy (Gary) Taylor, Hannah (Brian) Silverman and Nathan (Karen) Taylor, great-grandchildren Raina and Connor Heaton and Arkady Silverman.

She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Florence Brookbank, and her brother Edgar Ray Brookbank.

Visitation 6-8 p.m. July 16 and services 10:30 a.m. July 17 at Georgetown Church of Christ. Interment at Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown. Memorials to the church.
