The Newtonsville Activity Group held it’s second annual car show Saturday, June 14. The show was held on the grounds of the village municipal building.

“It’s turned out really nice,” Don Wilson, a village council member and member of the Activity Group said. “We had 31 cars last year and we had 36 cars registered this year.”

The Activity Group is composed of council members and residents. The car show raises funds for activities such as buying toys for children at Christmas, putting on a festival in the fall, and a puppet show in the spring.

“We’re also going to try to help some families through the holidays this year,” Wilson said.

Wilson said that next year’s car show will be bigger than this year’s, with new classes for motorcyles, rat rods, and new cars.
