The Clermont County Grand Jury indicted two people in connection with a home invasion that took place in Union Township April 25, according to Lieutenant Scott Gaviglia, operations commander for the Union Township Police Department.

Elim Chizdek Thomas, 20, and Abdur Rahim Ali Peters, 21, both of Cincinnati, were indicted May 1 on multiple counts relating to a home invasion that took place in the 4800 block of Tealtown Road in the township April 25.

Neither Thomas or Peters have been arrested, according to Gaviglia.

“Neither suspect is in custody,” Gaviglia said. “Both have warrants out for their arrest.

Gaviglia said police responded to the home on Tealtown Road around 9:40 a.m. after receiving information about a home invasion.

At the home, police found a man who had been shot and two females who had been assaulted. The three individuals were transported for treatment at local hospitals, according to Gaviglia.

Gaviglia said there were items taken from the home.

Gaviglia said the names of the victims are not being released because the investigation is ongoing. He said the victim of the shooting is expected to recover.

Once police took care of the victims, Gaviglia said they began the investigation to try to find suspects.

“The investigation was complicated in that the victims sustained serious injuries,” Gaviglia said.

Thomas and Peters were indicted on charges for attempted aggravated murder, attempted murder, aggravated robbery, felonious assault and aggravated burglary.

Gaviglia asked individuals with information about Thomas or Peters to contact the Union Township Police Department at (513) 752-1230 or Crime Stoppers at (513) 352-3040.

Last week, police arrested Jasmine Ledford, 20, Feshawn Napier, 19, Dakim Dorsey, 21, and Deonna Welch, 23, all of Cincinnati, also in connection with the home invasion.

He said the department received assistance from Cincinnati police during the investigation.

“I would also like to thank the Cincinnati Police Department for their assistance with this case,” Gaviglia said. “They have been an invaluable asset in the investigation of this case.”

Ledford, Napier and Dorsey were all charged with aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony, and Welch was charged with receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony, after they were arrested.

All of the suspects remain incarcerated at Clermont County Jail.
