James Michael “Chicken Jim” Ingram, 77, of Bethel, died April 22.

Ingram earned the nickname “Chicken Jim” by owning and operating Valley Gem Marina Floating Restaurant in Ripley from 1990-2009, where he came to love many people that were not just his customers but were considered family.

He is survived by his wife Gay Ingram, children Teresa and Jamie Ingram, grandchildren Alexis Ingram, Stacey Louiso and Michelle Manning and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents Council Venoc and Lucille Ingram and siblings Freddie, Joe, David, Freda and Mary Jane.

Visitation 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. services April 28 at E.C. Nurre Funeral Home in Amelia. Interment at Monroe Cemetery.
