Notice of Public Hearing
The Village of Batavia
Planning Commission will hear two proposed amendments to the village zoning code at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at the Batavia Mayor’s Office, 389 E. Main St., Batavia, Ohio 45103.
A change to Ord 153.075, R-1 Residence District, would limit the total number of beds in homeless shelters within the village of Batavia to the lesser of one per 750 village population and one per 1,000 population in Batavia Township.
A change to Ord. 153.078, B-2 General Business District, would define “unconventional business” as tattoo parlors, sexually oriented shops, public entertainment businesses, and other businesses for which any person can demonstrate an association with notoriety, noise, or disruption and would limit such use to the B-2 District, permitted only as a conditional use.
The hearing is open to the public and will accept comments.
