Notice is hereby given that the Jackson Township Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public hearing at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the Jackson Township Community Center, 3263 U.S. Highway 50, Williamsburg, OH 45176.

No proposals will be considered which are not based on the Remediation Protocol. The bids shall contain the full name of each person and company interested in same, and shall be marked on the outside “Bid for Microbiological Remediation, for Firehouse #1, Moscow, Ohio”.
Bidding documents may be examined and obtained, at the Township Administration Building, 2238 State Route 756, Moscow, Ohio 45153, 513-553-2072. Bidders must register with the Township. Addenda will be sent only to those so registered.
Bidders shall submit with their bids a Bid Guaranty in the form of either (1) a combined Guaranty and Contract bond, (2) a certified check, a cashier’s check drawn on a solvent bank or (3) an irrevocable letter of credit, as Bid security. Bid security shall be in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount. Guaranties shall be made payable to the Washington Township Trustees. The Bid guaranty shall be in strict compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Section 153.54 and Sections 153.57 and 153.571 as applicable. The successful Bidder will be required to submit contract security in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum, on the form provided. Other forms will not be accepted.
Any Bid in excess of $75,000 is subject to applicable law regarding Prevailing Wages.
Bids may be mailed in advance, to the Township Administration Building and must be marked on the outside as stipulated above, but must be received at the Township office by the time and date stipulated above.
Bidders and all workers employed on this Project must have mold remediation experience. Bidders must submit a list of mold remediation project references along with their Bid.
The entire interior of the Firehouse is the remediation area. This Project does not include reconstruction.
There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting at 1:00 PM on March 21, 2014 at the Township Administration Building to review the Mold Remediation Protocol and address any questions. A voluntary walk-through inspection will follow at the Site.
Bidders shall meet all applicable governing, local state and federal laws and regulations, including those concerning nondiscrimination, employment opportunity, health, safety and others.
The Washington Township Trustees reserve the right to reject any and all Bids, waive any irregularities or informalities in the Bidding, and to withhold final awarding of the Contracts for sixty (60) days after opening of the Bids.

REQUEST FOR
QUALIFICATIONS
The Clermont County Department of Community & Economic Development is seeking professional services from interested architectural and/or engineering firms to provide engineering and project oversight services for two (2) public improvement projects. These projects are funded by Clermont County’s FY 2013 Community Development Allocation Grant Program (CDBG) and a Critical Infrastructure Grant, and all related federal, state and local laws and regulations will apply. Professional services may include, but are not necessarily limited to, the design and preparation of plans and specifications; assistance with technical inquiries during bidding process; participation in preconstruction meetings; construction inspection and oversight; and verification of contractor billings.
The two (2) CDBG projects have a work completion date of December 31, 2014 and are described below – project costs are current preliminary estimates:
Village of Bethel: Replacement of an existing bridge with a concrete box structure and related drainage on Spring Street. Estimated project cost $119,100.
Village of Moscow: The project will consist of the replacement of approximately 400 LF of storm sewer pipe and installation of approximately 6 new catch basins and related asphalt replacement along portions of Fifth and Third Streets. Estimated project cost $98,700.
These designs must be completed within three weeks of authorization to allow sufficient time to complete construction by December of 2014.
The successful professional design firm(s) shall provide such services in accordance with Section 153.65 of the Ohio Revised Code.
INQUIRIES AND SUBMISSION DETAILS
Interested firms shall provide a General Statement of Qualifications (3 copies), prioritizing the projects in order of interest. The submittal should be kept under 25 pages and must include valid copies of the Workers’ Compensation Certificate and Certificates of Insurance.
All proposals should be marked “CDBG Professional Services Proposal” and submitted to the Clermont County Department of Community and Economic Development, Attention: Annette Decatur, Grant Coordinator, 101 E. Main Street, 3rd Floor, Batavia, Ohio 45103 by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2014. Additional information may be obtained by contacting Annette Decatur at (513 )732-7125 or by email at adecatur@clermontcountyohio.gov.
Selection of the firms shall then proceed according to the Guidelines for the Process of Contracting for Procurement of Professional Design Services, a copy of which may be obtained at the Clermont County Department of Community and Economic Development.
Time is of the essence in all phases of the CDBG Program and candidate firms will be expected to prepare design drawings as expeditiously as possible, consistent with sound professional practice and methods. If your firm is selected, designs must be completed within three weeks of authorization to allow sufficient time to complete construction by December of 2014.
