On Jan. 14 the Clermont Chamber Foundation and the LEAD Clermont Alumni Association launched “Agenda for the Future,” a major county wide planning initiative. Through a series of community conversations, countywide workshops, and issue work teams residents of Clermont County will identify the issues they consider of greatest importance as we look to the future. There are several ways to get involved.

The first is to participate in one of the 50 or so community conversations being held throughout the county during February and March. If work, school, and family life prevent you from doing so, you can still share your ideas and identify the issues that are important to you by taking the survey, which only takes a few minutes.

You can learn about community conversations and take the survey by visiting the Agenda for the Future website at www.clermontagenda.org.

You can also encourage your friends and family members to take the survey. The more people we hear from the better.

On Saturday, April 26 a countywide priority workshop will be held to discuss the issues identified through the community conversations and survey responses. The priority workshop is open to the public and will be held from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at American Modern Insurance Group, 7000 Midland Blvd, Amelia. Lunch will be provided and there is no charge to attend.

You can register online at the Chamber’s website, www.clermontchamber.com or visit the Agenda for the Future website for more information.

Clermont residents who would like to get involved but who do not have access to a computer can call George Brown, Project Manager for Agenda for the Future, (513) 218-3157.
