Former Central Joint Fire and EMS Fiscal Officer Roxanne Yaussy, of Amelia, who resigned in August of last year was indicted for theft in office Feb.13.

“The allegations, and of course that is all they are right now, is that in her position as fiscal officer she misused funds in office,” Clermont County Prosecutor Vince Faris said.

Faris said right now it is believed that Yaussy stole approximately $80,000 during the time she served as fiscal officer.

“We are waiting for the auditor’s report,” Faris said. “It may go beyond that, but we believe it was a little over $80,000.”

Faris said Yaussy was hired July 3, 2008 and resigned August 5, 2013.

Faris said the theft in office charge is a third degree felony, which carries up to 36 months possible penalty.

He said Yaussy will likely appear in court this week.
