New Clermont County Animal Shelter Director Bonnie Morrison and Dominique
The Board of Directors of the Clermont County Humane Society have named Bonnie Morrison as the new director of the Clermont County Animal Shelter. Morrison has been acting as interim director of the shelter, located at 4025 Filager Road in Batavia for the past several months.

“I want to thank the Clermont County Humane Society for offering me this position,” said Morrison. “I feel I have been following a career and volunteer path which have totally prepared me to take the animal shelter forward in a positive manner. I have been fortunate to cross paths with many wonderful people in the shelter and rescue world; I plan to collaborate with these individuals and groups to bring new ideas and programs to our shelter.”

Bonnie is co-founder and executive director of Tri State CART, a non-profit disaster response team that focuses on the care of animals during times of local disaster for 31 counties surrounding Greater Cincinnati. She is a retired General Electric manager. Bonnie is a board member on the Ohio Homeland Security Department of Agriculture Technical Animal Council (TAC), where her input was vital to rewriting the states animal emergency plan.

She was the EARS state coordinator for Ohio until 2012. Since 2008, she has been working with the Red Cross to help make pet co-sheltering a reality for every disaster.

“My primary goal is to reunite as many dogs and cats with their owners as possible or to find the animals new homes,” said Morrison. “The animals deserve all I can give to them.” For more information about the Clermont County Animal Shelter, call (513) 732-8854 or visit the website www.ClermontCountyAnimalShelter.com.
