Batavia Township Trustees welcomed Deputy Kevin Dyer to the township during their Dec. 2 meeting.

Administrator Rex Parsons said their previous deputy, Ryan Earley, was re-assigned, and Dyer is filling his position in the township.

Parsons said Dyer is a veteran and is also a resident of Batavia Township.

Dyer said he served for 12 years in the military. He said he has been working at the sheriff’s office since 2002.

Dyer introduced his wife, Karli, and daughter Addisyn. He said Karli Dyer also works in law enforcement.

“We live here in the township, and I am very happy to be working for the township,” Dyer said.

The township contracts with the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office for police services.

Parsons said the township has four full-time sheriff’s office deputies assigned to Batavia Township.
