Batavia Middle School will be hosting a Family Game Night Dec. 5 to provide a fun opportunity for parents, students and teachers to interact.
“It’s going to be our first annual Batavia Middle School Game Night,” Lindsey Jarrett, a sixth grade teacher at the middle school, said.
Jarrett said they are welcoming families into the school to play games, learn how to use the Progress Book grading system and hang out with Stella the bulldog.
She said there will also be refreshments during the event and an opportunity to apply for Batavia library cards.
“It will be a relaxed evening of fun, students will get to enjoy some time with their families and see their teachers outside of the school day,” Jarrett said. “Parents can see their students work, can learn about Progress Book and be able to have a good time.”
Jarrett said game night will be held from 6-8 p.m. Dec. 5. She said events will take place in the cafeteria, gym and in the library.
She said student classwork will also be displayed throughout the hallways for parents to view.
