The Pierce Township Board of Trustees recently authorized staff officials to use the online liquidity services marketplace, www.govdeals.com, for the sale of unused, outdated and damaged inventory.
“GovDeals is a great way to market our inventory to a global audience increasing the chances of receiving the highest return on a sale” said Matt Smith, Public Works Foreman. “Many communities throughout the United States use GovDeals including Clermont County, the City of Milford, Fairfield Township and several other area public agencies” said John Koehler, Public Works Manager.
“GovDeals reduces the time and costs involved in preparing traditional auctions yet enables governments to meet all legal requirements for bidding” he continued.
Pierce Township will soon post several items on the GovDeals site including seven florescent T-12 light fixtures, nine Hi-Bay 400 watt mercury vapor lamps, two torpedo style kerosene powered portable heaters and a Woods bush hog mower.
