Residents in New Richmond and Ohio Township will have a chance to meet the candidates for village council and trustee Oct. 24.
New Richmond Mayor Ramona Carr said the event will give members of the community a chance to meet the candidates.
Carr said there will be a question and answer session during the event.
There are eight candidates running for four council seats in New Richmond. Candidates include Mary Allen, Amanda Davidson, Heather Evans, Richard Hilt, Charlie Scott, Gary Skeene, Ernest Smith and Noel Thacker.
Davidson and Hilt are incumbents.
Three candidates are running for two trustee positions in Ohio Township. Candidates include Rick Hinson, Charles Polster and Robert Joseph Shannon.
Hinson is the incumbent.
Carr said the event will be held Oct. 24 at the Market Street School in New Richmond. She said the event will begin at 7 p.m.
