Batavia High School/Great Oaks Legal Management senior Jessica Pelfrey, participated in the Ohio Business Week summer program at Ohio Dominican University during June.

Ohio Business Week is a program for high school students that is dedicated to preparing students for success in the free enterprise system while promoting leadership, integrity and entrepreneurship.

Students established their own companies, developed new products and services, and presented their business and marketing plan to a panel of experts. The intensive week-long began at 6:45 a.m. daily and continued until dinnertime, with evening activities also scheduled.

“Jessica had the unique opportunity for hands-on experience while being mentored by CEOs and financial officers from national corporations,” said instructor Angie Kovacs. “This experience will help Jessica as she pursues a degree in international business and marketing.”

The Legal Management program is a satellite program of Great Oaks Career Campuses, held at Batavia High School.
