Charles Knause, 59, of New Richmond died Aug. 31 at University of Cincinnati Hospital.

Knause was born in Cincinnati and graduated from New Richmond High School. He married the love of his life and high school sweetheart Debbie and they were married 40 years. He worked at Cincinnati Milacron for 18 years and then at King Tool for 15 years. He worked at Progress Rail for seven years and at the time of his death. He was happiest spending time at home with his family, especially vacationing in the Smokey Mountains.

He is survived by his wife Debbie, children Charles (Tammy) Knause II, Christopher (Nicole) Knause, Cassandra (Ryan) Bagnall, grandchildren Austin, Caleb, Langdon, Isabelle, Emily, Ally, Evelyn and Eric, mother Helen Knause, siblings William Knause, Delores (Jeanie) Knause, Helen (Peter) Guthrie, Marian (Jimmy) Hayes and many other family members.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert William Knause.

Visitation 6-8 p.m. Sept. 5 and services 10 a.m. Sept. 6, both at E.C. Nurre Funeral Home in Amelia.
