The salon offers a wide variety of services, including haircuts, color, perms, waxes, facials, and manicures. Conditioning treatments, highlights, lowlights, shampoos, and sets are also available. Clients are charged a minimal cost, ranging from $1 for a shampoo, $2 for a haircut, to $16 for a perm, or up to $30 for a color service.

The school is located west of Bethel on State Route 125 with the salon entrance in the front of the building. For an appointment, clients should call (513) 734-6222, extension 3101.

The salon provides students with exposure to clients and with practical experience to help them pass their state board exam for licensure and prepare for the working world. Cosmetology senior Kayla Macko said, AI like to work with my hands in the salon and build personal communication skills with my clients. I enjoy making my clients feel good about themselves with their new look.”

Senior Cosmetology students have worked in the salon during their junior year, enter their senior year experienced and confident. They are all quite excited to get their senior year underway and greet clients on opening day! Randi Powers likes to work in the salon and meet new people. “I love to give people a new look with hair color and brighten their day!”

Many clients have been visiting the Grant Career Center salon for years. This year, Grant Cosmetology graduate and instructor, Janelle Baudendistel, is eager to see former clients and welcome new ones.

“I have come full circle in my profession. This is where I learned my skills and now I can share them with a new group of excited students. We invite the public to stop in and find a beautiful new look.”
