Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 the Miami Township Board of Trustees adopted amendments to the Miami Township Property Maintenance Code. The purpose of these Code amendments is to significantly improve Miami Township’s local level administrative capability to protect the health, safety and welfare of Miami Township residents by ensuring all structures and premises are maintained in a safe and sanitary manner.
These amendments include: Ten (10) new sections of Chapter 1 Administration: Section 103 Department of Community Development: Section 107 Civil Citations; Section 108 Permissible Answers to Civil Citation; Section 109 Admission of Violations Charged in Civil Citation; Section 110 Express Denial of Violations Charged in Civil Citation; Section 111 Implicit Denial of Violations Charged in Civil Citation; Section 112 Municipal Court Proceedings; Section 113 Appeals Process; Section 114 Penalties and Fines; and Section 115 Abatement of Other Lawful Remedies; An expanded list of terms has been added to Chapter 2 Section 202 General Definitions; and a new section has been added to Chapter 3 General Requirements, Section 303 Swimming Pools, Spas and Hot Tubs.
A complete copy of the Code is on file with the Miami Township Fiscal Officer, and at the Clermont County Law Library for inspection by the public. The Township Fiscal Officer has copies of the Code for distribution at cost.
