Nicholas Steven Schoening, 46, of Batavia, died July 12 at Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati.
He was an art teacher at Campbell County High School and he formerly taught at Glen Este Middle School.
Schoening was preceded in death by parents Delbert and Margaret Schoening and brother Teddy Schoening.
He is survived by wife Kelly Schoening, children Meghan and Brendan Schoening, sisters Janet Stoneking and Julie Griffin, brothers Kurt Schoening, Eric Schoening, and Jon Schoening, 23 nieces and nephews, and one great-niece and one great-nephew.
Visitation held 4-7 p.m. July 19 at St. Veronica Church in Cincinnati, with Mass of Christian Burial following at 7 p.m. A reception will follow at St. Veronica School.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made payable to Kelleene Schoening for the Meghan and Brendan Schoening Scholarship Fund, c/o of any branch location of Huntington Bank.
