Richard Payton, 78, died March 1.

Payton is survived by his wife Eleonore Payton, children Susan Payton, Kenny Payton, Billy (Kay) Payton, Beth (Bill) Smith, Denise Payton, Richard (Vicky) Payton, Mat (Milly) Bassett, Ronny Bassett, Stan (Tina) Bassett, Tommy Durbin, Lisa Durbin and Heidi (Mike) Durbin, 36 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren, siblings Shellie Payton, Joann Beebe and Betty Beebe.

Visitation 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. services March 7 at E.C. Nurre Funeral Home in Amelia. Interment at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
