Armed man robs Medary’s Market

An armed robbery occurred at Medary's grocery store Feb. 18. Police are still investigating the incident.

The Williamsburg Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at Medary’s Market on Main Street in the village on Feb. 18.

According to a release from Sgt. Randall Ruehrwein, the robbery occurred around 10:57 p.m. at the grocery store, just before closing.

A male, approximately 6 feet tall wearing a dark coat, jeans, a ball cap and glasses, was in the store at the time.

The man approached the clerk and pulled out an unknown make or caliber black, semi-automatic pistol

He ordered the clerk to give him money, and took and undisclosed amount of money was taken from the store.

No one was injured as a result of the incident, and the man has not yet been identified or charged.

Williamsburg Police Department is investigating the robbery and looking for information about the suspect.
