Man arrested for seventh OVI

The Miami Township Police Department has arrested Scott Barrick, Age 39, of 1373 Fox Hunt Court and charged him with Operating a Motor Vehicle While Impaired (OVI).

Because of his prior convictions, the arrest is considered a felony charge.

Barrick has been convicted on six prior occasions for OVI.

The most recent conviction was in 2009, and before that he was convicted of OVI in 2006, 1999, 1997, 1995 and 1991.

Barrick was arrested by Sergeant John Swing at about 2:30 a.m. Monday morning, Feb. 18 on Monassus Run Drive in Miami Township.
