New Richmond to offer curbside recycling in March
Staff report
The village of New Richmond will be offering curbside recycling beginning next month, according to a release from village administrator Dave Kennedy.
Kennedy said Mayor Ramona Carr and village council members are pleased to be able to make the announcement that curbside recycling will be available.
He said council recently awarded a three-year contract for waste pickup with Rumpke that includes curbside recycling.
“The service is being added without an increase in the resident’s monthly garbage service cost,” Kennedy said in the press release.
He said bins will be delivered to residents beginning Feb. 25.
The first recycling pickup will be March 6 and will continue weekly each Wednesday.
