Jungle Jim’s Liquor Store is now open in Eastgate.
The store opened Jan. 16, and features 5,000 square feet of products including liquor, cigarettes and other items.
According to a release from Jungle Jim’s, the store is one of the largest liquor stores in Ohio.
“It is very comfortable, and pretty,” Phill Adams, director of development for Jungle Jim’s said. “It is very open and spacious.”
Adams said the one thing people have commented about most since the shop opened is that it doesn’t look like a typical liquor store.
“It’s definitely a ‘jungle-ized’ liquor store,” Adams said. “We still have some more surprises.”
Adams said the store features a variety of liquors and somewhere around 900 hundred different labels.
Adams said the store fits in nicely in the beer and wine department, and he said it is one of only a few liquor stores in the county.
“This will help fill a void,” Adams said.
Adams said they have been working on completing the liquor store since November of 2012.
Adams said they had a temporary liquor department in the wine department near the cigar humidor. He said now they will expand the tobacco section in that area.
The liquor store can be accessed through the main entrance of Jungle Jim’s or through the back entrance by beer and wine.
The liquor store hours are Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Adams said the liquor store is just one of many upcoming additions or changes to the store.
“Our store is still evolving,” Adams said. “We are still growing, changing, updating and adding.”
Jungle Jim’s opened in September of 2012 and features many different departments including American grocery, international food, meat and seafood, a bakery, beer, wine and more.
