Designed by Greg Norman Golf Design, Elks Run was opened in 1999 as a great alternative to other house-lined golf courses around the area. Situated in the rolling hills of Batavia, Elks Run is laid out through a wooded area that gives the player a sense of solitude while also being privy to one of the best courses in the area.
The host of the US Amateur qualifier in 1999 and 2000 as well as being named to Golf Digest’s “Places to Play” in 2002 and 2004 and ranked No. 10 Golfweek’s “America’s Best” in 2010, Elks Run has the accolades to boast its already sterling reputation amongst Clermont County residents.
The par-71 layout can test the most skilled of golfers all the while remaining straightforward enough to give the weekend hacker an enjoyable experience. Playing 5,334 yards from the front tees and stretching to just under 7,000 yards from the back tees, Elks Run gives golfers of all skill levels a fair shot at par.
Aside from the course, Elks Run offers a state-of-the-art practice facility that allows golfers to simulate every situation they may face on the actual course.
The driving range features bent grass hitting stations as well as two practice sand traps that will help the player practice every aspect of their game.
The short game area features a practice putting green that emulates the conditions you will face out on the course.
The course closed in November 2010 and opened back up in July 2011 under the new management group Sequoia Golf who manages 50 clubs nationwide.
The course offers golf leagues as well as playing host to golf outings throughout the season.
Professional instruction is also available in both private and group packages.
In addition to the golf, Elks Run can offer the Shark Den Banquet Room and the Elks Run Pub, which can accommodate up 200 guests when combining rooms.
