The Southern Buckeye Conference announced their track and field All-Conference teams late last month, which featured eight individuals receiving awards for their performance this past season.

 

Three coaches from Clermont County were named Coach of the Year in their respective divisions headed by Terri Flamm of New Richmond and Karen Healy of Williamsburg sweeping the award in the girls’ track and field.

Joining her coach in the American Division, Olivia Behymer of New Richmond was named the Runner of the Year. The American Field Athlete of the Year was Lauren Stacy of Bethel.

In the National Division, Arica Stutz of Felicity was named the Runner of the Year and Elizabeth Meisberger of Williamsburg was named the National Field Event Athlete of the Year.

New Richmond led the way for most All-Stars with 11 members of the SBC-American Division champions being selected to the squad.

The Lady Lions had 10 First Team selections and one Second Team pick.

The First Team included Paige Anderson, Emily Barcheski, Olivia Behymer, Jill Flenniken, Sarah Glenn, Kelsey Hardin, Amanda Nguyen, Kayla Owens, Mikaela Rupp and Sarah Shoemaker.

Hannah Hall was named to the Second Team All-Conference for the Lady Lions.

Also garnering First Team honors were Amelia’s Madison Terry, Goshen’s Brittany Clark and four from Bethel. The Bethel First Teamers were Taylor Atkins, Carolin Baker, Morgan Calhoun and Lauren Stacy.

Bethel also had three Second Team selections in Miranda Anter, Andi Lanigan and Dakota Sicurella. Amelia’s Rachel Smith and Goshen’s Tiera Martinelli joined them.

In the National Division, the SBC Meet Champions Williamsburg led the way with 11 First Team Selections. They were Shannon Dewey, Alexis Donthnier, Alyssa Donthnier, Anna Imbus, Ashley Jermer, Heidi McManus, Elizabeth Meisberger, Monica Parker, Gabby Press, Caley Pringle and Lindsey Smith.

Batavia’s Gabrielle Bond and Felicity’s pair of Caitlin Obermeyer and Arica Stutz rounded out the First Team.

On the Second Team National Division All-Conference was Felicity’s Crissy Pascow.

On the boys’ side, Bethel’s Erik Shinkle took home the individual honor of the American Division Runner of the Year, while the only individual accolade for the National Division was handed out to Williamsburg’s Chris Rolph for Coach of the Year.

The American Division First Team included six athletes from Bethel. They were Shinkle, Jason Adams, Jason Altmayer, Sumner Hobart, Ryan Rees and Matt Small. The only other Clermont athlete on the First Team was New Richmond’s Alex Ariapad.

On the Second Team All-Conference in the American Division were Clermont Northeastern’s Clay Cousino, Dylan Daniel, Jeff Johnson and Tremaine Smith.

Bethel also had a set of Second Teamers that included Zane Copestick, Ashton Hutchinson and Dylan Torok.

Goshen’s pair of Nick Messer and Calvin Phillips joined four others from New Richmond to be named to the Second Team. The Lions’ selections were Bobby Bingham, Pierce Burnam, Aaron Pollard and Colt Reese.

In the National Division for the boys, league champions Williamsburg led the way with nine All-Conference selections.

The seven Wildcats named to the First Team were Ryan Boggs, Lee Brandon, Jacob Edminsten, Michael Posey, Clayton Scheidler, Theo Simpson and Corey Stith.

The Batavia duo of Keshawn Foley and Josh Moon were also named to the First Team.

On the Second Team in the National Division were Batavia’s Jacob Braswell, Ryan Cooper, Mannie Johnson and Griffin Stith.

The final two Williamsburg All-Conference selections were Brandon Ilg and Jamie Simmons who were both selected to the Second Team.
