Homes are beginning to take form in Willows Bend, a development in Miami Township that is the site of Home Builders Association of Greater Cincinnati’s 2012 Homearama.

“They are all beautiful homes,” Dan Dressman, executive director of Cincinnati Home Builders Association, said. “Everyone is going to be really excited to see them.”

The six homes that will be featured in Homearama are all under roof, and construction crews are working on installing stone, brick, decks and other exterior details before beginning interior details.

“We have had cooperative weather, which has allowed the builders to move along more quickly,” Dressman said.

Dressman said the six builders of the homes include Artisan Estate Homes, Grand Estates by Fischer Homes, Hal Homes, Justin Doyle Homes, Potterhill Homes and Walker Homes.

All of the homes will be on display during the two-week home show June 9-24.

Guests will be able to view the homes inside and out, and will have an opportunity to speak with builders, decorators and other home construction representatives at the show.

Dressman said the homes by Artisan Estate Homes, Hal Homes and Justin Doyle Homes have already sold, however the others are still available and priced between $675,000-$950,000.

Dressman said each builder chooses a decorator to complete the interior details of the homes, and a lot of times guests come to the event to get decorating or construction ideas for their own homes.

“It’s always something new and different,” Dressman said about the designs. “People are welcome to bring their cameras with them and take pictures.”

In addition to the home tours, the show will feature a HomeZone tent with a variety of vendors, a children’s play area and concessions.

Since 2012 marks the 50th anniversary of Homearama, Dressman said they are also planning special celebratory events including a Homearama history walk and more.

He said they have lined up a guest appearance by Ahmed Hassan, a celebrity landscaper and TV host. Hassan will be at the show June 14.

“We’ve got some neat stuff planned, I think everyone will have a good time with it,” Dressman said.

This is the first year Homearama will be held in Clermont County, and Dressman said he is excited to bring the home show to such an accessible site in Miami Township.

“We are very pleased,” Dressman said about the location. “We’ve had tremendous participation from the public officials.”

Dressman said tickets for Homearama will go on sale May 15 and are $11 at any Kroger location. Tickets at the gate will be $13.

The show will run June 9 – 24 from 4 – 10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, and from 12 – 10 p.m. Friday-Sunday. Parking will be available on site.

Dressman said live video streams of Homearama construction will be available in the the coming weeks.
