Milford High School is hosting its second-annual “Flight Night” at Oasis Golf and Conference Center in Loveland on Thursday, March 15 at 6 p.m. The Cincinnati Bengals’ All-Pro quarterback Ken Anderson and the voice of the Bengals, Dave Lapham will be the featured speakers.

“It’s great to have both of those guys, especially with their history in Cincinnati, what they have done for the city and the Bengals,” Milford athletic director Mark Trout said. “We’re excited to hear what Kenny Anderson has to say about his playing days. Obviously, Dave Lapham is still in town doing the commentary, so it’ll be great to have those guys and hear some stories they have to tell. To have those guys, it should be a really special event.”

The event runs $45 for a general admission ticket that includes dinner, dessert and a cash bar, while a VIP ticket can be purchased for $85. With the VIP admission, along with the dinner and dessert, you receive appetizers and an autograph and photo session with the honored guests.

All of the event’s proceeds will benefit the Milford Athletic Boosters Club. The goal of the boosters is to make this evening one of the largest fund-raising events each year.

All attendees must be 21-years of age or older.

“It’s an event that some people would refer to as a ‘stag’ event,” Trout said. “However, ours is different. Ours is not just for guys only, it is for everybody. It’s a good time. It’s dinner, talking sports and hearing some good speakers.”

Last year at the inaugural “Flight Night,” Milford had former Ohio State University head football coach John Cooper and former Bengals All-Pro David Fulcher speak.

“We have a lot of business sponsors who come in and buy tables and join us,” Trout said. “City Council and the Board of Education support it. They came out last year and had tables. It’s really a community event, which is great.”

Along with dinner and speeches, there will also be a silent auction

Donations should be sent to Milford Athletic Department, C/O Flight Night 2012, Milford High School, 1 Eagles Way, Milford, Ohio 45150.

To purchase tickets, contact the Milford High School athletic office. The office is open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. or you can call 576-2208 for more information.
