Marvin Benfield, Jr., 74, died Feb. 17 at Anderson Mercy Hospital in Cincinnati.
Benfield served in the United States Air Force and attended Gebhardt Art School. He worked as a draftsman, commercial artist and related occupations. He had numerous pets and animals throughout his life and enjoyed working with his hands and studying philosophy and religion.
He is survived by his wife Mary ruth Benfield, son Eric Marvin Benfield, daughters Melinda Dare Benfield and Mary Katherine Benfield, grandchildren Ronald William Cambron Jr., Jessica Morgan Cambron and Ryan Alexander Hunter, brother Robert Wayne Benfield and sister Martha Janette Harvell.
He was preceded in death by his parents Marvin Lester Benfield and Mary Druscilla Mackey Benfield and sister Mary Dorcas Slack.
Services 8 p.m. Feb. 21 at E.C. Nurre Funeral Home in Amelia.
