County Commissioner Archie Wilson resigns
In the letter, Wilson said his resignation, which is effective immediately, was based on his physician’s advice.
In his resignation letter, Wilson said, “I would like to thank the people of Clermont County and my good friends for all their support.”
Wilson began his term as a county commissioner in January 2011.
On Monday, Feb. 6, Clermont Commissioners Bob Proud and Ed Humphrey are expected to accept Wilson’s resignation and appoint an interim commissioner.
According to the Clermont County Prosecutor’s Office, based on the Ohio Revised Code, the Republican Central Committee will then have between 5 and 45 days to officially appoint someone to serve as commissioner to replace Wilson.
“I wish Archie and his family well,” Board of Clermont County Commissioners President Bob Proud said.
