The District 22 Association of Eastern Star Chapters presented a check for $10,000 to the Hospice of Hope-Ohio Valley on Sept. 9. This amount resulted from the sixth annual fund-raiser called the “Festival of Hope” held at the Clermont County Fairgrounds on the first Saturday in August which featured auctions, dinners, book sales and a concert by the Van Dells.

The Order of the Eastern Star is the largest fraternal organization of both men and women in the world made up of Masonic brothers and their relatives. The Eastern Star members enjoy great fellowship and also are proud of the charitable work they support.

The 10 chapters in Clermont and Brown Counties have chosen to partner with the Hospice of Hope-Ohio Valley for the past six years as their special charity.

This local Hospice covers both Clermont and Brown Counties as well as 10 other counties in southern Ohio and northern Kentucky. They have offices in both Mt. Orab, Ohio and Maysville, Ky. and may be reached at 800-928-4243 or 800-928-4848.
