Gregory Warman of Clermont Northeastern High School was honored as Student of the Month at the Sept. 6 meeting of the Batavia Rotary Club.
One high school student from Clermont Northeastern is honored at the first Rotary meeting of each month during the school year.
Students who are nominated for this award live their lives in a manner that exemplifies the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self.” Warman is the first CNE student in the 2011-12 school year to be recognized.
“Gregory is a straight-A student, involved in National Honor Society, three varsity sports, and is a Student Senate Representative,” said Matt Earley, CNE High School Principal. “He also has a good sense of humor and is great with people.”
Warman has been a Senior Mentor to freshmen students, participated as an Ohio Graduation Test Tutor, served on the Prom Committee and was a member of Homecoming Court. He has been a Teacher and Athletic Director Aide, received Perfect Attendance in the 2010-11 school year, was Student of the Month at St. Andrew School in 2007 and received the Presidential Award for obtaining an overall “A” average while attending St. Andrew School in 2008.
Warman is very active in his community and enjoys spending time with his parents, Jeff and Judy, and sister Briana.
The Batavia Rotary Club is comprised of a diverse group of community-minded members that are working together to address various community and international needs and to promote peace and understanding throughout the world.
Club meetings are held every Tuesday at 7 a.m. at the Hawk Building on Taylor Road, Clermont County Airport. Prospective new members and visiting Rotarians are always welcome. Visit www.batavia-rotary.org for more information.
