Widows of World War II veterans in Clermont County will receive Kroger gift cards, following the donation of $1,400 from the Eastern Hills Rod, Gun, and Conservation Club.

The Clermont County Veterans’ Service Commission accepted the donation at their Aug. 10 meeting.

“We really appreciate the donation,” said Clermont Veterans’ Service Office Director Dan Bare. “The widows of our local WWII veterans are so deserving of this gift; it will be our pleasure to ensure the cards are distributed to those who need them most.”

“The EHRGCC raised the money by holding a Sporting Women in the Outdoors event in July,” said Nancy Bicknell with the group. “We had 120 women take part in a day that including many sporting activities, food, and fellowship.”
