CCDD crew honored by Batavia Township Trustees

Members of the Lawn Crew from the Clermont County Board of Developmental Disabilities were honored by the Batavia Township Trustees at their monthly meeting Aug. 2.

From left are are Rex Parsons, Batavia Township Administrator; Tim Vogel, CCDD Work Services Coordinator; Jim Sauls, Jr., Batavia Township Trustee; David Williams, Lawn Crew member; Lee Burbank, Lawn Crew member; Lee Cornett, Batavia Township Trustee; Jeff Olender, Lawn Crew member; Bill Dowdney, Batavia Township Trustee; Jennifer Haley, Batavia Township Fiscal Officer; Lisa Prewitt, Lawn Crew supervisor; and Chris Marksberry, Lawn Crew member. Those not in attendance were Trevar Field and Joe Pringle, Lawn Crew members and Jeremy Wunsch, Lawn Crew supervisor.

Four of the six crew members were in attendance.

“This crew takes care of three cemeteries in our township,” said Rex Parsons, Batavia Township Administrator. “They take great pride in their work, making sure the cemeteries are neatly mowed and cared for each week.”

Crew members were introduced to the audience by Tim Vogel, CCDD Work Services Coordinator. After each member was thanked for his role in the Lawn Crew initiative, the trustees presented special medals to each member. Staff from CCDD who supervise the crew were also recognized and received plaques from the trustees.
