Rotary club holds Pass the Gavel Dinner

During Haglage’s one-year term, the Batavia Rotary Club participated in many community service projects including the purchase of over 300 dictionaries for third grade students at Clermont North Eastern and Batavia Schools; Wrapping Clermont Together, a collaboration with Landmark Baptist Church; and the annual Rotary Golf Outing that raised over $20,000 for Clermont County community organizations.

Goals that incoming president Dave Phaneuf has set for the next year include increasing club membership, purchasing thesauruses for fifth grade students at CNE and Batavia as well as dictionaries for the third graders, and establishing a ROTARACT young adult club at UC Clermont.

The Batavia Rotary Club meets weekly, 7 a.m. at the Hawk Building, Clermont County Airport, 4160 Taylor Road, Batavia. For more information, call (513) 732-4921.
