Erin Hancock has selected Hanover College, Hanover, Ind., to further her education and to continue to play soccer.

She plans to be in the field of pre-medicine where she is most interested in biochemistry.

At Amelia High School she earned letters in soccer and basketball achieving Southern Buckeye Conference American Division Player of the Year honors in soccer having been chosen a Fort Ancient Valley Conference Cardinal Division all-star the year before. She was all-region, too.

Outside of sports, she was a member of student council, the Key Club. the National Honor Society, and amazingly, found time to be a volunteer at Children’s Hospital.
She chose Hanover College because “I wanted to attend a smaller school. I wanted to be a face instead of a number. I really like the campus and the academics aspects.”

She pointed out as some highlights of her outstanding prep athletic career as having defeated Mount Notre Dame in soccer her sophomore year and scoring the last two goals this year in a win over Western Brown.

The daughter of Mike and Sharon Hancock thanked several people for their help in her life.

“My family has always been really supportive of me. My soccer coaches (Amy Kemmer and Kim Calder) helped push me to be better. They influenced me to keep on playing soccer in college.”
